Dave Chetwyn is a director of Urban Vision Enterprises CIC and a Design Council CABE
enabler. Other current roles include Vice Chair (Third Sector) of the National Planning
Forum, Planning Chair with Civic Voice, and a member of the Historic Towns Forum
Executive Team. Former roles include Head of Planning Aid England, UK
Chair of the Institute of Historic Building Conservation, Chair of Urban Vision
North Staffordshire and a team leader in local Government. He is also an
accredited Building for Life assessor.
Dave has advised various Government departments, groups, reviews and
Parliamentary select committees on planning, regeneration, heritage, urban
design, economic development, state aid and community empowerment.
He is a chartered member of the Royal Town Planning Institute, a Fellow of the
Institute of Leadership and Management and a full member of the Institute of
Historic Building Conservation.
Dave is also Director and owner of DJC1 Planning, his own independent planning
consultancy, which does a range of private work in planning, heritage, community
engagement and organisational management.
